Amkor Technology To Sell $250 Million In Convertible Subordinated Notes

WEST CHESTER, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 17, 2001--Amkor Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:AMKR) announced the pricing of $250 million convertible subordinated debentures due 2006 through a private offering to qualified institutional investors.

The debentures will accrue interest at 5.75% per annum and have a conversion price of approximately $35. Amkor intends to use the net proceeds of the issuance to repay a portion of the term loan outstanding under its secured credit facilities, and for general corporate purposes.
