CHANDLER, Ariz., June 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Amkor Technology, Inc., (Nasdaq: AMKR), a leading provider of contract semiconductor assembly and test services, today announced that the company has moved its corporate headquarters from West Chester, Pa., to Chandler, Ariz.

Amkor pioneered the Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) industry in 1968, and the company first established its presence in the Greater Phoenix area in 1984. Since then Amkor has increasingly focused its corporate executive staff, product management, engineering support and business development teams at its Chandler location. During the past several months Amkor has completed consolidation of the finance and information technology functions from West Chester to Chandler, representing a migration of more than 100 jobs, and bringing the total Chandler employee base to 400. The change in corporate headquarters reflects this consolidation.
